Dead or Alive Xtreme Sense VR Experience Lets you Feel and Smell the Girls!

If you are a child of the 80’s and 90’s you probably remember Arnold Schwarzenegger and his VR experience in Total Recall. This is now edging ever closer to reality with the new Dead or Alive Xtreme Sense VR Experience. In the new game you don’t just get to ogle hot babes, you can feel them splashing around and you can smell them. Do you think this is creepy or a good idea? So here’s the deal. In Japan there is a kind of VR amusement facility called VR Sense, which features immersion pods that you can use for a variety of VR games. Basically these exist to crank up the immersion to the next level and create a more convincing feeling of presence. This is accomplished by blocking out ambient light and introducing subtle tactile and sense inputs (like smell). There are other games coming to the VR Sense chambers, but Dead or Alive Xtreme is by far the most notable because the game was already bordering on the creepy.

A while back before Dead or Alive Xtreme launched on PlayStation VR in Japan there was a video that went viral, showing a man demoing the game and crawling out of his seat to get a closer look at one of the heroine’s bosom and try to touch it. As soon as we saw that, we knew that this is what every DoA Xtreme owner would secretly be doing in his or her basement after launch.

Now not only will men be craning their next in order to get a better view of these virtual women, they’ll also be able to get in nice and close to inhale their fragrance and feel soft mists as the ladies kick around on the beach.
